Field Trials and Hunt Tests
We are reinstating drop in conformation starting Tuesday September 2nd.
Field Trials and Hunt Tests
Field trials and hunt tests are designed to test the skills of hunting dogs--doing what they are bred to do. The tests and trials are divided by the primary skill a particular group of dogs does while hunting: retrieve, point, flush or scent.
While Field Trials have a competitive component -- only those placing get points toward a title -- Hunt Tests are a pass/fail test. In a test, the dog needs to perform and pass certain requirements for the particular hunting group.
For more information on the groups, see AKC links:
ICCKC does not put on any field type events, but many of our members are members of or participate in events by local clubs:
Treasure Valley Hunting Retriever Club
Idaho Retriever Club
German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Idaho
