IDAHO CAPITAL CITY KENNEL CLUB

Club Purpose
   1.  To further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs.
   2.  To do all in it's power to protect, and advance the interest of all breeds of purebred
         dogs and to encourage sportsman like competition in dog shows, obedience trials, and
         matches.
   3.  To conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, and obedience trials under the rules of
         the American Kennel Club.
   4.  To devote all profits accruing to the club to the above purposes or to make specific
        contributions for the benefit of dogs as shall be determined by a majority of members
        present and voting at a duly constituted meeting.
 

Membership
  Meetings are held at the Idaho Fish & Game Building, 600 S. Walnut, Boise, ID, at 7 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month except our July picnic and our December awards dinner.  Interested guests are always welcome!!

  If you are interested in joining ICCKC -- first, please come to at least two meetings before you plan to apply.  You can get the membership forms from the membership chairman at a meeting.  We look forward to meeting you!!
 
 

ICCKC Code of Ethics
To be a member in good standing, I subscribe to the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club (AKC) and will strive to attain the ideal of the Idaho Capital City Kennel Club (ICCKC) as set forth in the following Code of Ethics:

   1.  To support the promotion and breeding of registered purebred dogs (no intentional
        cross breeds);
   2.  To maintain clean and sanitary quarters and kenneling that provide proper shelter and
        protection from weather, of adequate size to prevent overcrowding, and constructed
        to ensure a safe environment;
   3.  To exercise kind, humane, and tolerant treatment of all dogs;
   4.  To practice professional business ethics and breeder relations;
        a.  to study my breed standard as set forth by the national breed club and AKC;
        b.  to do all matings with the real purpose of improving the breed;
        c.  to avoid the breeding of any dog when a serious known hereditary problem (physical
             or temperamental) exists which is detrimental to the breed;
        d.  conscientiously and immediately to inform all persons involved in my breeding
             program should an unknown hereditary problems become apparent;
        e.  to attempt to represent each puppy sold as accurately as possible;
   5.  To offer reliable assistance to those seeking advice to the best of my ability;
   6.  To make no false or misleading statements concerning my breed or other breeds or
        breeders;
  7.  To sell no puppy(ies) or adult dogs to pet stores or brokers for resale and to supply no
        puppy(ies) or adult dogs for raffles, "give aways" prizes, or other such projects;
   8.  To be mindful of my responsibilities as a dog owner to my neighbors and community and
        to use my best efforts to avoid or rectify andy existing or potential problem that would
        adversely affect the future of the dog owner, exhibitor, or hobby breeder;
   9.  To conduct myself in an honest and sportsmanlike manner, lending dignity to the dog
         profession as a whole and to the status of the Idaho Capital City Kennel Club, Inc. as a
         group.
